Valentine's Fun

We had a great, educational time for Valentine's Day. We sorted our candy hearts and played Valentine's BINGO. We then had a Minute to Win It Challenge. The class was challenged to move as many candy hearts from the BINGO board to a paper plate, using only a straw. We then worked in teams on an engineering activity of building catapults with popsicle sticks and rubber bands. The teams each took turns testing their catapults in a head to head competition. The team to shoot their candy heart the furthest got a medal. Pictured below is the winning team. Finally, Valerie brought some Mentos and Coke. We got to watch a chemical reaction take place.
