Academics:
Third grade departmentalizes. This means your child will switch classes during the day.
- English and Language Arts Ms. Francois will be your child's English and Language Arts (ELA) teacher this year. Your child will go to Ms. Francois's class daily after lunch. Please direct any questions regarding ELA to Ms. Francois at francoisl@leonschools.net. Her blog can be accessed at http://msfrancoisclass.blogspot.com.
- Math, Science, and Social Studies Your child should be practicing his/her times tables for 10 minutes each night. We use the Go Math curriculum. There is not a set testing day for math, so Mrs. Owen will let you know when a math test is approaching. We will have Mid-Chapter Checkpoints, so you can see your child's progress as we get halfway through a skill. The "Think Central" link found on the blog will take you to your child's math curriculum. Homework can be accessed online.

- 20% Quizzes (Mid-Chapter Assessments)
- 20% Homework, Classwork, Participation
