Updates

I got a little behind updating the blog! We have been learning a great deal about plants and ecosystems in the past few weeks. Through our celery experiment, we found that the celery changes colors according to the colored water it was sitting in. We learned the reason this happens is because the celery soaks up the water into its stem, and sends nourishment through the rest of the plant to keep it alive.

Pumpkinology was a great success. We had lots of fun, and pictures will be posted soon.

Mrs. Owen's homeroom class read about Flat Stanley. We "flattened" our own Stanleys and sent them to college! They will be on an adventure at Flagler College for the next few weeks, and will return to us the Monday before Thanksgiving. We can't wait to hear about their adventures. (Ms. Francois's homeroom will complete this activity in the spring).

Keep practicing your multiplication facts in math! We are working hard on becoming Multiplication Masters. So far we have several people who have earned ice cream and one topping. Keep learning those facts!
